Nasser - Executive Chef and Partner
Nasser Amer was first introduced to the restaurant world at the age of 13 as an apprentice in his hometown of Hebron. He continued to work in local restaurants until he attended Kendall College Evanston in 1998, where he studied Classical French Cuisine. Upon graduation from Kendall, Nasser began his career at The Ritz Carlton in Chicago and went on to work for Food Dreams Catering. Nasser also had high profile stints as faculty at Kendall College Chicago in addition to working for the Food Network and Emeril Live in Chicago. While there, he taped 15 shows preparing all the food for the scenes, and he also performed live at the Big Bam Blast at The Taste of Chicago.Influenced by Middle East and Mediterranean countries, Amer produces superb cuisine that recreates the true taste of The Levant with dishes that distinguishes his restaurant, Dawali Mediterranean Kitchen, as a Chicagoland favorite. Nasser has a driving passion for serving up a unique experience through his refined menu and top-notch seasonal ingredients.
Samer - Executive Chef and Partner
With over 16 years of culinary experience from banquets to fine dining, Chef Samer "Sam" Jabsheh studied at Kendall College in Evanston and has worked at an array of Chicago establishments where he has built on his education and creativity by preparing a wide range of North American and International Cuisines. After graduation from Kendall, Sam went on to work at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Chicago followed a position as Lead Cook and Sous Chef at the Four Seasons Hotel, University Club of Chicago and Advocate Christ Hospital. Sam joins Dawali Mediterranean Kitchen as the head chef of the new Halsted location.
